the park is from watchtowers, located over waterholes. Animals frequent
these waterholes throughout the day. Not only animals, a variety of bird
species has also find a shelter in the sanctuary. Spotted deer are
fairly distributed throughout the park. You will see herds of spotted
deer every now and then during your safari. Other animals to be spotted
in the Chilla Sanctuary include Asian Elephant, Tigers, Leopards, Jungle
Cat, The Goat-like Goral, Himalayan Yellow-Throated Marten, Indian Hare,
Sloth Bear, Himalayan Black Bear, King Cobra, Jackal, Barking Deer,
Sambhar, Wild Boar, Rhesus Macaque, Indian Langur, Indian Porcupine,
Monitor Lizard, Python etc. Birds that you can watch at the
waterholes and other places are quails, hornbills, hawks, falcons and
vultures among others. Visitors can also indulge in fishing in the park.
